Osteopathic Manual Practitioner
Professional Membership: Nova Scotia Association of Osteopaths
Angela completed her Bachelor’s degree in Osteopathy at the British School of Osteopathy (BSO) in 2008. She also has a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Physiology from Cardiff University. Angela is a member in good standing of the Nova Scotia Association of Osteopaths, the Ontario Association of Manual Practitioners, and the General Osteopathic Council (UK).
Prior to moving to Canada in 2015, Angela worked in busy osteopathic clinics in Yorkshire, England, and in Barbados. Angela enjoys the holistic and patient-centred approach that osteopathic manual therapy takes to treating a wide range of conditions, and is comfortable addressing both acute and chronic conditions. Her treatments incorporate a wide range of non-invasive manual techniques, including deep soft tissue massage, assisted stretching, MET-muscle energy techniques, and other osteopathic techniques, including osteopathic joint articulation, cranial osteopathy and visceral manipulation. She works with the body as a whole to restore the body’s structural and functional balance, to enhance the body’s natural ability to self-regulate and self-heal.
Angela has a strong interest and commitment to continuous professional development and has taken a variety of post-graduate courses, including further training in advanced osteopathic manipulation, cranial-sacral therapy, visceral manipulation, and in women’s health.
Away from the clinic, Angela enjoys yoga, being outdoors, and has a love for the water, with a passion for surfing.
